The analysis of the Yeronga peninsular was undertaken to assist with the production of a proposed planning structure plan. bureau^proberts were engaged to assist with design and documentation of a submission against the Draft City plan for the precinct along Hyde Road, Yeronga. The outcome required community consultation with stakeholders and neighbouring residents to illustrate a future planning outcome for the area. The long term conversion of industrial land to multi-residential and mixed-use centres was proposed and the architecture drew inspiration from existing industrial buildings and made provision for possible adaptive re-use of such buildings. The 12Ha precinct accommodated around 1000 units and 4000sqm of retail and non-residential uses maintained a connectedness to the existing park and sport / recreation precinct nearby.
