Nathan Lane appointed Managing Partner

We are pleased to announce the elevation of Nathan Lane to the role of Managing Partner for bureau^proberts in a move that positions the practice for its exciting next phase.

Gold Coast born and a proud Kombumerri descendant, Nathan joined bureau^proberts in 2014 and has since played a central role in delivering some of Brisbane’s most recognisable residential and mixed-use developments.

Elevated to Head of Production in 2021, Nathan has helped lead the delivery of major projects including Brisbane One, Arc, Walan, Thornton and Glasshouse. His appointment as Managing Partner recognises his contribution to the practice’s growth, project delivery capability and reputation for high-quality design outcomes across Queensland and beyond.

Nathan studied architecture at the Queensland University of Technology and is registered with both the Board of Architects Queensland and the NSW Architects Registration Board. A committed member of the Australian Institute of Architects, he is passionate about excellence, equity and representation within the architecture profession.

Nathan’s leadership on award winning projects and across the wider business has been a key contributor to the growth and success of bureau^proberts over the past decade, supporting the practice in providing outstanding service and value while delivering excellent design outcomes.

bureau^proberts said the leadership appointment comes at an important time for Southeast Queensland, as Brisbane and the broader region continue to evolve in the lead-up to 2032 and beyond. In his new role, Nathan will be responsible for translating the practice’s vision into sustainable business performance, ongoing design excellence and strong client outcomes, while supporting the continued growth of the firm’s national and international portfolio.
